Twas my 2nd "bridal shower" in my entire life, before I got hitched to a man.

It has always been my wildest dream to have a "birthday" or "bachelorette" party in a unit of apartment, hotel or what nots. And so Alhamdulilah it was granted ;)

My lovely girls from highschool + June whom I met at Matrics UIA organized my second (and proly the last) bridal shower at The Ascott KL. The unit was so beautiful, the food was great and the best thing was the awesome company.

Fad BBMed me ajak go air terjun, but few days later she said that "I'm booking you on this date from this time to that time" and I said ok. I didn't know what was she up to. I didn't know the others' involvment either. On that Friday night, I inquire from Fad, is there any specified colour, do I have to bring anything or whatnots, and the informed me the necessaries.

On Saturday afternoon, she fetched me at my house with Sab and June, and all the stuff they wanted to bring to the place. I was still clueless, but I knew the place already since June made an invitation picture at FB, mentioning the venue time date and whatnots. I've heard of The Ascott, but surely I have never been there.

Once we arrived at The Ascott, we went into the unit which was gorgeous, and they started doing the necessaries including making a banner which says "Shael Bride To Be", susun the food, buat air and whatnots. We then went to KLCC to see Aida, whilst Fad went to get helium ballons with Sarat.

After so many things were done, we then went back to the unit and everything was nicely decorated with banner, balloons, gift bags, games etc. Oh, did I mention that Fad got all tshirts printed with "Bride" and "Bridesmaid"..? Mine of course the "Bride" in pink colour tshirt, and the rest in teal written "Bridesmaid".

And so the night was really a good night with the theme song by BEP "Tonight's Gonna Be A Goodnight". I enjoyed their company and didn't really know how to say thank you. All I can say until today is "THANK YOU FOR SUCH A MEMORABLE WEEKEND!"

Oh, it didn't end there :) The next morning, after breakfast (of last night's left over yang still sgt sedap) we went up to the level where the swimming pool is located. Brought along some danish, water to drink, balloons for prop, the cake, camera and ourselves. After a few shots (or rather many shots) were taken on top, after the cake cutting session, we had a somehow "more emotional" session where the girls gave their speech and what nots. And that part made me went all teared up, ESPECIALLY when Fad had hers (am still terharu when I'm writing this post)

I still remember the night I burst into tears after we had a karaoke session and after party at Murni's SS2 KJ (there were Sab, Fad and June). I still remember that time because personally I don't cry in front of my friends (except Mai who was my roomate in Gombak, and because I could not hide from her obviously). I still remember when  I was so down due to a really heartbreaking news and I had no one to talk to (because I didn't want to tell my mother/parents) but I had Fad to console me. And the rest of the girls, everytime. I hope this is a right decision ever made for my entire life insha Allah.

Sab : She doesn't know the existence of this blog, but she has been a nice friend since I knew her in high school. She's the most vain friend as she never had any candid shots (not in my storage it is), she is always a camera ready. She's getting hitched soon, and all the best in your preparations!

June : We met in Matrics, then Gombak until present. You're one of the most supportive friend, very positive too. Glad our friendship went this far, and I hope it'll be forever #hugs

Fadilla Karim : The longest girlfriend ever. I knew her since before I knew my future husband. I went through a lot of happy and sad things with her after my mother. I can share so many things with her that may not be shared either with my mother, or my future husband. There were ups and downs in our friendship and I am sorry if I've ever done anything wrong to you that were visible or non-visible. I have known you since forever and I wish I could still have you as a special friend until we become old. I could not stop my tears when I'm writing this, which indicates that I am so grateful to have you as my bestest friend ever. Some people might go, but I hope we don't. Thank you for everything, thank you for all the efforts and thank you for your time when I needed you. Can't wait until you become my bestman on my big day. Lastly, THANK YOU FOR BEING A GREAT FRIEND IN AND OUT. I WUV YOUUUUUU

This was my first "bridal shower" hosted by my Unimates - Jas, Lin, Fadhil for us "soon to be married" Huda and myself. They wanted to bring us picnic somewhere in PD but then due to Huda's time constraint, they brought us to Putrajaya instead. They wanted to keep it a secret but then they was not sure of the road map in Putrajaya, they started to reveal the little secret. Heh heh. So cute ;p

We wanted to have picnic at this place near the Putrajaya Dam but it was too hot, takde pokok utk berteduh... Then, we went somewhere near Pullman, but there was an event going on... So lastly, we went to the spot we used to have picnic last year and settled down there for a few hours. The weather was pretty hot at that time, we had to park at a spot yang quite distance since the nearest parking dah tutup due to constructions.

Ok, tak kesah lah. They made sandwiches and mee goreng. They wanted to have lunch after that actually tapi tak larat, sebab Jas and Fadhil didn't sleep the whole night preparing.

To the Gemoks: THANK YOU so so much for the picnic bridal shower, thank you for all you efforts. I am blessed to have such great girlfriends in Uni and hope it may lasts until forever xp

1 month and 5 days

Wow, the clock is really ticking. I'm left with a mth and 5 days only. Minus today wud be a mth and 4 days. How time flies. Most of the things settled, just waiting for the outfits to be ready. Other things have been planned and scheduled. Hopefully things will go accordingly insha Allah.

On another note, my nikah paper work dah siap!! Alhamdulilah, syukur! As I was so worried about that since I cannot take annual leave (tak layak sbb masih pro-rate due to tak confirm lagi). Thanks to parents sebab they helped me settle those procedure. First met the ustaz for my mukim, then we tot we have to meet the pendaftar nikah at masjid wilayah tapi when dah jumpe rupenye tak perlu. But luckily they met ustaz masjid wilayah sbb the ustaz told them the procedure, takdela blur2 dah. The day after, parents went to JAIS in the am, then followed by JAWI (sebab I want the nikah to be held at Masjid Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur Jln Duta). JAIS and JAWI settled, lastly they went to see the ustaz of the masjid. Alhamdulilah. Boleh kawen dah :p

I've been meaning to write 2 special posts about my bachelorettes. But I don't go online that often now since I came home late and what not. In short, I am really grateful to Allah swt to have some close friends who really appreciate friendship. For those who doesn't appreciate friendship, said so many nasty things shall be deleted. I do not want to have a glimpse of a bad friendship before my big day or even after that. Today might be ur day, but tomorrow or whenever would be my day. U hurt me today, doesn't mean no one will hurt u in the future. U said nasty things that made me cry. I was too shocked. But it's a hick up that will make me more mature, and being me, I will never ever ever forget about it. Allah knows what is BEST for the ummah. Thus I have no regret :) You are too valuable to be remembered, just apart of my past but will never be in my future. Lol

I just want happy things before my big day. Insha Allah

Awesome Girlfriends

I had the BESTEST weekend before I end my life as a single lady. Alhamdulilah for gorgeous girlfriends inside out. I shall write a long post with pictures.



5 Weeks and 6 Days

Refer to the length of time above, yes.. Roughly about 5 weeks (minus off the 6 days). So far, quite a few things have been settled namely:

1. Invitation cards - received, must start to send out
2. Baju Nikah - sent for beadings, will see it on Sunday (12/12/10)
3. Baju Reception - fitting on 12/12/10
4. Baju Bertandang - yang last minute, thanks Dilla Karim for the help. The materials have been sent to my designer/tailor Yali Ruzaini (heh heh). Next week siap kot.
5. HIV Test - taken, FINALLY! Negative, so I'm fit to get married. Alhamdulilah
6. Inner Tudung - decided to buy the Ariani inner with awning just in case if I tak jumpa the ones I want. Bought for all three events (nikah, my reception and his reception)
7. Tudung - heh heh. Thanks for the idea Dilla Karim
8. Nikah Door Gifts - finished decorated with ribbons and bunga. Must find a good place to buy chocs
9. Reception Favours - 1/4 finished, 3/4 to go to ikat the ribbons
10. Uncang Gula2 for the kids - purchased, have not decided on the gula2 yet.
11. Pelamin - discussed with the org pelamin.
12. Groom's Accessories - try out on 2/1/2011
13. Nikah & Bertandang Make Up - booked, deposit paid.
14. My Reception's Make Up - confirmed, dia boleh siapkan penganting perempuan & lelaki (tak pening dah)
15. Hantaran - almost all purchased, except for the ring. Jeng jeng!! Can't wait. And the buah, chocs and cake belum lagi.
16. Honeymoon Destination - decided. Tak booking lagi, he'll do it SOON
17. Photographer - the one I wanted fully booked, so we opted for a pro. Mahal sikit, but no choice. Other pro(s) lagi mahal. Deposit paid
18. Nikah Hand Bouquet - confirmed
19. Reception Hand Bouquet - orang pelamin provide
20. Catering - mom and aunty will meet them tomorrow

Awesome Weekend

The weekend was filled with activities, none of the days was a waste.

After work Friday, went to Jakel Shah Alam and then surprise birthday dinner for Dilla Karim. On Saturday, went to a friend's wedding in Kajang then went hunting for hantaran-things. Today, my course mates surprised me (& Huda) with a bachelorette picnic and instead of going out in the evening, I tend to finished off decorationg (of tampal bunga & riben for my nikah favors) and have started to ikat riben for my reception's favors. I am proud :-)

I shall elaborate more on the Bachelorette picnic but I have to sleep early. But here I put a picture people called as "teaser", taken from my Blackberry.....

The One With A Business Woman's Birthday

There is one date in your life that will count your years of living on this earth and that is the birthday date. Fourth December of the year Two Zero One Zero marked the Twenty Five Years of age to a beautiful soul girlfriend - Nur Fadilla Abd Karim, Dilla Karim. Almost twelve years of friendship, the one whom listens to every-single whines and whatnots, the one whom I do crazy things together, the one whom always have pronto plans, the one owns two Channel bags that have been in her dreams since forever, the one whom have the opportunity to travel and bring her friends too, the one whom you can count on to, the one whom is everybody's friend............. and the list goes on and on.

So we planned for her suprise birthday party. It started about a week ago, when June sent us (myself, faiza faiz, nad, sabariah, aida) message in fb about planning etc. But sadly Aida was not able to join us due to some work related meeting done over the weekend, but she gave her full support! Yeay.... So we planned, and I was the one in charged to distract Dilla from smelling anything. I had her to accompany me to buy materials for my "bertandang" and promised her dinner. First plan was to go to Jakel KL but plans went haywire when she wanted to go to Jakel Shah Alam instead. I was nearly giving up, made calls to faiz and then her boyfriend (so that her bf wont take her away from our plan) twas quite hard tho since I had meetings the whole day Friday. She insisted to go SA instead of KL, sikit lagi nak nangis give up and kantoi kan semua. Hehe. BUT I managed to get things under control ;-)

Planned changed from meeting up at Jakel KL to Jakel Shah Alam. I picked her up in Glenmarie then we went to Jakel and did the necessary things. After materials were puchased, I told her that the dinner will be at Las Carretas in Jalan Semantan Damansara. Jun and the rest should arrive BEFORE me, but ended up, me and the birthday girl arrived first. Aijhojho. Confirm dah start kantoi bit by bit. Lebih mengkantoikan when Nad was waiting outside. Aiyak!! Mmg pasrah habis............. Heheh

Btw to Dilla Karim, hope you enjoyed the night. Thanks for being there when I needed you. Thanks for every single freaking thing you have done for me sepanjang kite berkawan. Sorry if there are/were any mistakes done by me. I want to tell you that I am ever so grateful to have you in my awesome circle of friends, you're the cherry on top. Thanks for being the pengapit on my utmost BIG day ever, insyaAllah.

Of This and That

Good morning!

Finally I have the time to re-structure this blog and whatnots. The absence of internet makes my social networking things very limited. With the 630am out-of-house to work from Monday to Friday, when I come home early/late I will not have the mood to update the blog, and there is no juice to story about.

Btw, started my beautiful Sunday with my-own-way of facial that I learnt from my friends during the college years, I miss that moments (rindu korang Hani, Tasha, Dayah, Mai and Kima!!). Well, havent gone to any facial yet, but this regime is not too bad after all.

First, I scrubed my face with St. Ives Apricot Scrub.

After washing with scrub, I dried the face and started putting the St. Ives Hydroxy Masque

Waited for at least 5-10 minutes before it got dried up, then washed my face with my facial cleanser (up to urs anyway). I am using Clinique Liquid Facial Soap in Mild

On another note, I finally found the pair of shoe I want to wear during my nikah. After 3 weeks of searching at different malls. Perfect from the design and the height. I purposely took silver with white lining instead of other wise. This is a glimpse of it =p

Met my course mates on Friday for lunch at Dome KLCC. Friday is the only day with 2-hours lunch break and banking hours finishes at 445pm. How awesome is that? KL is freaking crowded in Friday. But so far everything is good =)

I need to get ready to a wedding. Malas, tapi this is my mother's best friend's daughter.

2nd week

Before I start, Salam Aidiladha to all Muslims in the world ;) I wish to be a better Muslim inshaAllah.

I have sent my material to the designer for my reception, 10 December will go there during lunch for fittings. InsyaAllah. My baju nikah also has been sent for beadings. I am anxious and excited at the same time.

On my job, Alhamdulilah syukur to Allah swt. It's my second week there and I am never this grateful. Hopefully things will go well, insyaAllah

First Day

I have been to numerous interviews, banks, mncs, sdn bhd..... To date, I've changed 4 jobs in 2 years, 3 banks and 1 sdn bhd........ Was offered by 4 different banks and 1 sdn bhd. Not that something I want to brag about, I dont like or shud I say never like to hop jobs.... But due to certain circumstances, I had to... Especially for better opportunities, growth and benefits and not to forget environment. The petty little things does matter to me..!! Especially toilets, surau, flexibility to pray, my own cubicle!! and colleagues.

I never like to story about my jobs. In short, first was Ma**ank ( 1 year 2 months - environment, salary, friends all were perfect except it was a contract and shift), then to a small Islamic financed based company (lasted only a day), rejected H**C offer for H**B due to higher salary with the later (branch operations - good exposure, SAD working environment, worst boss and senior officers, worst branch condition, NO place to pray!, NO flexibility to pray, WORST experience during Ramadhan, no lunch breaks when there were A HELL LOT of customers, worst thing was the selfish attitude... many more!!!!!!) and finally now I am attached to M. Hopefully, I'll be long here.. First day was ok, but it's quite too soon to judge... Tawakkal..... Oh, I turned down A offer for M tho A offered more.. The little voice in me wanted the M more than the A..

On wedding note, we have received the confirmation from Masjid Wilayah, alhamdulilah! ;-) but we have yet to complete our HIV test AND all the neccesary documents for nikah, byk kerjaaaaa!! Groom's baju melayu for nikah and reception dah siap. My baju nikah will be ready this week, and appointment made for bride's baju reception...... Nikah attire will be sent for beadings... The ticker shows 2 months, 1 week and 6 days already.. NICE! Oh not to forget the drama for our wedding cards. Went to the shop, I was being a diva, padan muka! No more response after this we'll cancel.

Reality

Hello all

I'm doing good. Got the most anticipated call, now waiting for the offer letter. InsyaAllah (harap smooth je everything).

On wedding preps:

1. Baju melayu - sent to tailor for both nikah & reception, siap in 10 days for fittings.
2. Baju nikah perempuan - sent, siap in 2 weeks then will send for beadings
3. Invitation cards - haven't received anything thru email as promised tho have called twice. Kena call lagi sekali and mengamok ke?
4. Make up artist - paid the deposit. Trial will be in December
5. Baju reception perempuan - appointment in 3 weeks. No worries sgt sbb tu kawan maksu :p

Itulah a bit of my wedd preps update. Daisypath thingee is moving, wow. Now it's 2 mths left instead of 3 mths. Pheww
